The app has no accounts and no sign-in. It does not ask you for any personal information, and it does not send any to us. We operate no servers and receive no data about you at all.
The app does show ads, and the ad network collects data. That is the only data collection involved, and it is described in full below.
All of this stays on your device. It is never uploaded, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Maintenance reminders can be added to your phone's calendar as repeating events. This only happens when you tap "Add to calendar", and the app asks for calendar access at that moment, never at launch.
The events are stored by your calendar, not by us, and sync wherever your calendar account syncs. Nothing from your calendar is sent to us or anyone else.
You can delete downloaded manuals at any time from Settings, and uninstalling the app removes everything.
Manuals are fetched from the manufacturers' own public websites and content delivery networks — ktm.com, husqvarna-motorcycles.com, gasgas.com, bmw-motorrad.com, Yamaha's owner's manual library (ymcapps.net and yamaha-motor.co.jp), powersports.honda.com, hondamotopub.com and ducati.com. When you browse models or download a manual, your device connects to those services directly.
We do not operate those services and do not receive a copy of those requests. As with any web request, the manufacturer's servers will see your IP address and standard request information. Their handling of that is governed by their own privacy policies.
The app does not add any identifier of its own to those requests. Two of those services, Honda's European site and Ducati's, only answer a session that has first loaded one of their pages, and they set cookies on that page load. The Honda and Ducati apps keep those cookies in memory for as long as the app is running and send them back only to the site that set them; they are never written to storage and are gone when the app closes.
The app displays ads supplied by Google AdMob. AdMob is a Google service, and Google acts as an independent data controller for the data it collects through it.
To serve ads, Google may collect and process:
Google's handling of this is described in its own policies:
Consent. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app shows a consent form before requesting any ad, using Google's User Messaging Platform. No ad is requested until that has been dealt with. You can reopen the form at any time from Settings → Ad privacy options and change your choice.
Turning ads off. Settings has a Show ads switch. Turning it off stops the app requesting ads at all.
Resetting your advertising ID. On Android this is in Settings → Google → Ads. On iOS it is in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, where you can also refuse app tracking outright.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS). On iOS the app asks for tracking permission through Apple's standard prompt. Declining does not affect anything except ad personalisation.
To be explicit, the app does not:
The only permissions the app requests are network access, calendar access (only when you add a maintenance reminder to your calendar, see above), plus the advertising identifier permissions that the Google Mobile Ads SDK requires.
These apps are not directed at children and are not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to give you a copy of, correct or delete. Requests concerning data collected by Google through AdMob should be directed to Google, whose policies are linked above.
If you are in the EEA or UK, the legal basis for ad-related processing is your consent, which you give or refuse through the consent form and can withdraw at any time from Settings.
KTM, Husqvarna, GasGas, BMW, BMW Motorrad, Yamaha, Honda and Ducati are trademarks of their respective owners. These apps are independent and are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by KTM AG, Husqvarna Motorcycles GmbH, GasGas Motorcycles, Pierer Mobility AG, Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. or any related company. Manuals are linked from the manufacturers' own public websites and remain the property of their owners.
Any change will be published on this page with an updated date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
